Who holds more influence in a crisis – the PR team or the legal team? Do lawyers value the reputation of the organization?  Is it more important to win in the court of law or the court of public opinion?  The relationship between communications/public relations professionals and lawyers is largely misunderstood and has never been studied in Canada.  Now is the time to weigh in!

This confidential, 15-minute online survey has been created by Matt Maruca, a master’s communications student at McMaster and a practicing lawyer. The purpose of the study is to learn about the relationship between lawyers and PR professionals to enable both professions to better help their organizations and clients, as well as help researchers and educators. No names or company names are collected. All data is aggregated, anonymized and confidential.

To enrich the research, please take the time to participate by answering all the questions.  The survey link is here:

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Mr. Maruca at  Stay tuned for information about the results!

Thank you IABC QC!!
