IABC Montréal wrapped up its regular programming last night at its last networking event before summer and unveiled the highlights of its programming for the 2019-2020 edition. The members also elected their new Board of Directors with Stéphane Prud’homme as President.

“I thank all the people who have come before me for 45 years who built the IABC Montréal that we know today. I would also like to acknowledge the work of our Past President Leslie Quinton and all the passionate members of our Board. I have the privilege to work with a great team”, Stéphane Prud’homme said last night during the event. “After hosting the IABC World Conference in Montréal in 2018, we are very well positioned to continue our momentum and to participate as a leader in the global discussion on the future of business communications, in French and in English.”

To this end, the new Board of Directors composed of ten wonderful and passionate professionals wishes to welcome this year a greater number of volunteers who will help IABC Montréal to remain the reference in the business communications industry. The new Board is already promising a year full of colors, discussions, and high-level learning. Here are the priorities of the new Board:

  • Networking and discussion with experts and IABC members from around the world
  • Professional development for members with long experience
  • Strengthening relations with academia and applied research
  • Recognition of IABC Montréal’s members for their contribution to the advancement of the profession
  • Strengthening the provincial presence to support companies from all over Quebec doing business internationally
  • Creation of the President’s Club, a discussion and reading group

The program of the coming year, beginning this September, will feature a variety of content presented by high-caliber speakers, mainly in the form of case studies and networking activities completing the festivities surrounding the 45th anniversary. IABC Montreal will also organize the “Montreal Conference” on October 4th, 2019.
