Do you remember the last time you had a “slow summer”? Right. Neither do we at IABC/Montréal.

We’re moving at a fast pace and we’re excited to share the highlights.

Earlier this year we were invited to a special event, where the Honourable Bardish Chagger, Minister of Small Business and Tourism, sat down with a group of entrepreneurs to discuss emerging technologies and their impact on the way we do business. Seeing communications represented at the business table was a breath of fresh air. We talked about crowdfunding and blockchain technology and, since we don’t want you to miss a single beat, we’re sharing a book recommendation and a blog contribution by one of the participants – Benoit l’Archevêque, CEO Azzimov Mobile Inc – on the differences between various crowdfunding platforms. You’ll be glad to know this emerging industry is keen to welcome communications support.

Events have kept us very busy: we closed the summer season with a dynamite panel on the challenges facing the fashion industry and we’re kicking off the fall season with a half-day video bootcamp on September 10th. Seats are limited, so register fast!

We’re also working to help you hone strategic skills aligned with your company’s business priorities and bring you examples of best international practices in business communication. Stay tuned for our video interview with U.S. business advisor and leadership coach Jim Shaffer and discover some of the highlights here.

Warm thanks go to our technology sponsor, Montréal web agency kantaloup, and to 2015-2016 IABC/Montréal Board members Gabrielle Dufour and Isabelle Poirier for helpin us launch a new website and for giving us a fantastic milestone to celebrate. Check out our brand new website montreal.iabc.com and say “hello” to your 2016-2017 Board. We’ve built a dream team who’s raring to go and will certainly take you places this year.

It’s September. A busy fall awaits. Let’s make the best of it.
