A matter of principle

Over the past couple of months we have witnessed unprecedented international and local events. They cast a new light on the role of communication – be it PR, social media, digital content creation, marketing or advertising – as a force of good in society and in business.

Under the leadership of Chair Dianne Chase, the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) posted a petition on Change.org to rekindle awareness of the importance of our code of ethics (which includes only sharing information that we know to be truthful) as one of the governing principles of our profession. 

I would like to invite you to join us in signing and sharing this document that speaks to the core values that guide us. 

IABC/Montréal appreciates any support you can provide in sharing this petition via your social platforms and networks of influence. Together, let us remind our employers, clients and stakeholders that the fantastically talented and creative women and men active across our industry are also constant and vigilant reputation stewards.
